Pork (grilled and BBQ)

Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Place one or two pork tenderloins (most grocery stores sell these  BOGO every 6 weeks or so) in a ziploc baggie in the evening. Add:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Squish it all together and put in refrigerator for 24 hours. Grill and enjoy!  (Thanks to my neighbor Tia for the marinade recipe)

Pork BBQ

Pork BBQ SandwichPlace one or two pork tenderloins along with 1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce in a crock pot on low setting for the day, turning every few hours. When you are ready to eat, pull apart using to forks, then mix in more BBQ sauce. Serve with extra sauce if you like.  (Thanks to my neighbor Kelley for the recipe)

A note about BBQ sauce. If you haven’t tried Bone Suckin’ Sauce, try it! In N.C. you can purchase it at The Fresh Market as well as Harris Teeter.

Sides : Corn, coleslaw, baked beans.Apple Pie

Great dessert : Apple Pie, yum! Make it with spenda, recipe here.
