Christian Living

This morning our Pastor, Stephen Davey, said something profound. Something that has stuck with me. Something that is very applicable. He said that years ago a Christian Leader told him that Christian living isn’t many decisions, it is just ONE decision. It is a decision to decide to live your life for the glory of God–no matter when, no matter where and no matter what. It is one decision with ongoing determination and daily application.

Who we belong to should affect everything that belongs to us–our relationship with our spouse, our parent’s, our children, our manager, our co-workers….People need to see our humility, deference and grace.

Jesus showed this over and over again in daily life. See Luke 4:43, John 4:4, Luke 9:22, John 10:5, John 10:16 and John 3:14-15 to note a few. (Thanks again to Stephen for the insight!)

If you have taken that step of faith and you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, can you say “I will devote myself to the things of my Father”? Maybe promise it right now in a prayer to your Lord.

If you haven’t taken that step of faith yet, see John MacArthur’s website for details on how to take that next step.
